San Francisco is hosting NBA All-Star Weekend, featuring various events helping underprivileged children, particularly in Africa. Former player Festus Ezeli, who immigrated from Nigeria, is leading initiatives to support youth. He is participating in a celebrity pickleball tournament and spearheading charitable activities such as 'From The Court to The Kitchen'. This event raises funds for children in Cameroon, where Ezeli's Vision Cameroon group provides basketball and leadership training. Other players, including Klay Thompson, have also actively supported these initiatives aiming to create opportunities for kids in need.
"My job now is to find ways to support other kids like me and make the same opportunities for them," he said.
"We teach them basketball skills and so many other leadership skills," said Suzanne Zodeh who is a development advisor with VisionC.
