Dolores "Dede" Harrington, a former vacation rental manager, was convicted in an embezzlement scheme affecting over 130 clients, resulting in significant restitution payments.
Harrington, who managed Beach House Rentals LLC, faced felony charges due to nonpayment to her clients from early 2020 to August 2022, leading to legal consequences.
Despite the plea deal reducing her charges, Harrington was ordered to pay nearly $122,000 to victim Joseph and Susan Mingione and $23,000 to Calvin Cornwell.
Judge Stephen Siegel emphasized the importance of compensating victims, as Harrington was sentenced to restitution, probation, and community service for her embezzlement activities.
