"This is destabilization."
Brussels Airport suspended flight operations Tuesday evening after drones were sighted, prompting a precautionary pause that caused diversions, delays and multiple cancellations. The airport briefly reopened after two hours but closed again following additional drone sightings, leaving arrivals and departures halted at times. Operations resumed on Wednesday morning, although ongoing disruptions were expected. Belgium’s national security council will meet Thursday to address the incidents. Liege Airport also halted operations due to drone sightings, and earlier reports noted drones over NATO-used Kleine Brogel airbase. Officials described the incidents as professional actions intended to create panic and destabilization.
