First Mormon temple to open in Ireland following major expansion

President Russell M. Nelson announced the construction of 17 new temples worldwide, reinforcing the growth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, now totaling 367 temples.

The new temple in Dublin, the first in Ireland, symbolizes the expansion of Latter-day Saints, who have been in Ireland since 1840, with 4,000 members today.

Church President Nelson emphasized rededicating lives to Jesus Christ and attending temples to prepare for His Second Coming, stating that 'the Lord is indeed hastening his work'.

Temples serve as sacred places for Latter-day Saints, where every sincere seeker of Jesus Christ can find Him, underlining their belief in the importance of temple worship.
