Fianna Fail members to vote on draft Programme for Government at special ard fheis this weekend

"Uachtarán Fhianna Fáil, Micheál Martin TD, will present the draft Programme for Government to voting members and formally propose the draft Programme for approval. Members will have an opportunity to contribute to the debate."

"The draft Programme for Government will be published on the Party's Website (www.fiannafail.ie) once it is completed and ready to issue," the party said in an email to members.

"Meanwhile, the Regional Independents are facing pushback from the two main political parties over demands for a full cabinet ministry in return for supporting the soon to be established government."

"However, a serious sticking point appears to be Independent TDs seeking to oversee a government department as part of the deal."
