Fianna Fail councillor objected to plans for houses that would block sunlight into his conservatory
Briefly

Councillor Fergus Kilcoyne raised concerns about a planning application near his home, asserting that two of the proposed houses would cause overshadowing and a domineering vista.
Mr. Kilcoyne stated, 'The basis of that letter was, it's blocking the sunlight going into my conservatory; I wasn't against the housing... If they put a pitched roof on it, it would let more sunlight in.'
Kilcoyne emphasized, 'I've nothing against housing. It's very important to read what I have said. I went back with two issues, an A and a B that could be done and they're in talks.'
In their appeal, the Kilcoynes stated, 'We would like to clarify that we are in favour of residential development in the village and are favourably disposed to housing.'
