A fire broke out at an apartment building in West Brighton on Monday evening, called at 9:51 p.m. at 37 Arcadia Place. The FDNY responded with approximately 60 firefighters and EMS personnel across 12 units, successfully controlling the blaze by 10:21 p.m. There were no reported injuries. The fire affected the second floor of the building, and on Tuesday morning, windows on that level were found damaged and boarded up. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
The fire was called at 9:51 p.m. at 37 Arcadia Place near Raymond Place and Forest Avenue. About 60 firefighters and EMS personnel and 12 units brought the blaze under control in less than an hour, at 10:21 p.m.
No injuries were reported in the fire where the cause remains under investigation. The fire was on the second floor of the building.
Windows were damaged and boarded up on the second floor in the front of the building, Arcadia Commons, on Tuesday morning.
