Exeter go top after dramatic late win at Saracens
"Exeter scored three late tries in a stunning fightback to beat Saracens at StoneX Stadium and go top of the Prem. Two Greg Fisilau scores pulled in an 11-point deficit before Henry Slade ran in a try in the final action of a pulsating match. The Chiefs took a slender one-point lead in at the break after Stephen Varney's try had cancelled out scores from Noah Caluori and Max Malins."
"Saracens made a late change to their lineup as Olly Hartley, who had not been named in the squad, replaced Lucio Cinti. And it was the hosts who made the brighter start, with Caluori instinctively picking off a loose pass from Slade and running through unchallenged, before Theo Dan set up Malins to touch down in the corner at the end of an effective lineout routine."
Exeter recovered from an 11-point deficit to defeat Saracens 30-24 at StoneX Stadium and move to the top of the Premiership table. Saracens opened strongly with tries from Noah Caluori and Max Malins, and a penalty try seemed to put them ahead. Tom Hooper was sin-binned after a knee contact tackle, and a contentious TMO decision allowed Stephen Varney to score for Exeter. Greg Fisilau crossed twice late in the match and Henry Slade added a decisive try and 15 points with his kicking. Owen Farrell missed a crucial penalty late on.
