"If Michael's story brings the attention of the public to our fallen heroes, then he has accomplished something - even in death," Murphy said, emphasizing the importance of memorializing his son and honoring the sacrifices of the military.
"I tell him what's going on, who is in the museum, who I met, what we've discussed, and things like that," Murphy shared, illustrating how the museum serves as a personal connection to his late son.
"We've had visitors from 47 states and 36 counties and just about all of them know Michael's story coming in," Murphy noted, showcasing the widespread recognition of his son's heroism and the museum's educational role.
"Michael was a hero before the world knew his story," reflects Murphy, stressing that his son’s heroism defined him even before the film 'Lone Survivor' brought it to a broader audience.
