He reflects on the awkwardness of watching his romantic interactions on TV, especially with family members present. Ellis, who previously appeared on 'The Bachelorette,' shares his longing for the atmosphere of his hometown but notes the benefits of living away from harsh winters. As he prepares for his season, he emphasizes his desire for a caring and outgoing partner.
"I look at it like I'm watching game tape of myself. And it's really interesting to see what the connections look like on screen," said Ellis.
"I mean, by the time I'm seeing it, it's too late. ... It's out there," he said about his season of 'The Bachelor,' which premieres on Jan. 27.
"My friends and the atmosphere. ... It's a big basketball state, so that's what I miss, but I don't miss the cold weather and I don't miss the taxes."
"When explaining to 'Bachelor' producers the qualities he's looking for in a wife, he said 'somebody who was caring ... with a good heart ... who is outgoing.'"
