Exciting things to do in Kent during the darker months
Briefly

During the nocturnal walk at Bore Place, lead by ecologist Tom Forward, participants will track tawny and barn owls at a unique point in their life cycle.
Tom Forward explains, 'We'll be on the look out for tawny owls - famed for their distinctive t-wit,-t-woo' calls - at this time of year, parent owls essentially aim to kick the kids out of home.'
The experience includes using an infra-red camera connected to a tablet, which lets participants spot nearby wildlife that may be invisible to the naked eye.
Tom's owl tour is not only about the owls, but the whole experience of walking at twilight, revealing interactions with various nocturnal creatures like bats, foxes, and hares.
