Emma Blain to contest election for Fine Gael in Dublin Bay South as ex-TD Kate O'Connell to run as Independent

After weeks of discussions with Fine Gael, Kate O'Connell decided to run as an Independent, claiming negotiations were ongoing while she was pressed to join the party.

Fine Gael has now decided to include Cllr Emma Blain alongside Cllr James Geoghegan in Dublin Bay South, aiming to secure two seats in the upcoming election.
