Ewan McGregor returns to the British stage after 17 years, starring as Henry Solness in 'My Master Builder,' a modern reinterpretation of Ibsen's play. Announced recently, the cast includes Elizabeth Debicki, Kate Fleetwood, David Ajala, and Mirren Mack. The play, written by emerging US playwright Lila Raicek, addresses current themes while being inspired by Ibsen's feminist undertones. McGregor expresses excitement about collaborating with director Michael Grandage, highlighting the fresh approach to the narrative that reflects today's sexual politics. The production is set for April to July 2025 at Wyndham's Theatre with affordable ticket options.
It's such a thrill be returning to the stage - and to work with Michael again, an actor's director with whom I have had some of my happiest working experiences.
What a play - I love where Lila has taken the story, a very modern take on today's sexual politics.
