On October 5, a pensioner was attacked by two Staffordshire bull terriers while walking his chihuahuas. One chihuahua died, and another was seriously injured. Owner Tracey Flood pleaded guilty in court to having dangerously out-of-control dogs. Flood claimed the dogs escaped from her yard while she was asleep. The court prohibited her from letting the dogs out without muzzles or leashes, threatening destruction if she fails to comply.
