The vessel, 'Sea Story,' capsized after being struck by a large wave near the Sataya Reef, and sank within seven minutes, leading to a rescue operation.
Local Governor Amr Hanafi confirmed that four Germans and two Swiss were among those on the boat, while dozens of other European tourists were also present.
Despite the challenging conditions with reported wave heights of 3-4 meters and wind speeds of 34 knots, the boat had recently passed a safety inspection.
Out of the 44 people on board, 28 were rescued with minor injuries, and the local governor assured that all of the rescued passengers were doing well.
