Driver and two pedestrians killed in three separate incidents on Irish roads

"A man, aged in his 30s, died in the early hours of this morning after a single-vehicle crash in Co Galway. The incident happened at approximately 4.30am on the L2107 at Cappadavock, Lavally, Tuam. The man, who was the sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. The road currently remains closed at the scene for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and traffic diversions are in place. In a separate incident yesterday, a man, aged in his 30s, died after he was struck by a bus on the motorway in Co Kildare."

"The collision, involving a bus and a pedestrian, happened at approximately 3.30pm between junctions 8 and 7 eastbound on the N7 motorway in Kill on Saturday afternoon. A male pedestrian was seriously injured in the incident and was taken to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment. He died yesterday evening as a result of the collision. A post-mortem will now take place in due course, a Garda spokesperson said. The male driver of the bus, also aged in his 30s, was not injured, while two passengers received injuries described as non-life-threatening."

"Separately, a pedestrian, aged in his 40s, was killed after being struck by a car in Co Carlow yesterday. Gardaí are now investigating the incident, which happened at 4.30pm on the R703 in Ballyroughan Big, Borris in Co Carlow on Saturday afternoon. The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A Garda spokesperson said the coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. The driver of the car, a woman aged in her 60s, was uninjured in the incident. Gardaí are now appealing to any witnesses to contact them in relation to all three road deaths."
