Law Roach, the celebrity stylist known for his work with Zendaya, has been appointed as a permanent rotating judge on RuPaul's Drag Race. Making his debut in season 16, Roach now shares the panel with RuPaul and Michelle Visage, while other judges rotate. Initially a guest judge, he mentioned that being in the third seat felt rewarding. Roach also revealed he will miss the backstage Untucked segments, emphasizing his excitement in this new role. His decision to step back from celebrity styling was influenced by personal challenges, including family death and industry pressures, despite his ongoing collaboration with Zendaya.
"I am not the special guest judge, I am sitting next to Ru. Hunter Schafer is the special guest judge this episode," Roach shared, highlighting his new role.
Roach expressed how it felt to be a permanent rotating judge, stating, "It felt good to sit next to Mama Ru," indicating his excitement for the role.
When asked about his new position's impact, Roach noted, "When you're rotating, you don't get to do that any more," referring to missing out on Untucked.
Reflecting on his career changes, Roach explained his step back from celebrity styling saying, "My cup is empty," a response to tragic family issues and client pressures.
