Dracut man charged with animal cruelty in death of roommate's dog
Briefly

Dracut man Anthony Segnini has been indicted for animal cruelty after allegedly killing his roommate's dog, Seamus, through severe blunt trauma and neglect.
Upon discovering her dog Seamus dead in the playpen, the woman saw blood, urine, and feces around the home, prompting further investigation and a necropsy.
Segnini claimed he found Seamus unresponsive and attempted CPR, but evidence contradicted this, showing deliberate and repeated strikes leading to the dog's fatal injuries.
After being indicted, Segnini is prohibited from contacting his former roommate or possessing animals until further court proceedings on Nov. 21.
