An emergency call about a store break-in in Lviv prompted patrol units to respond, after which two explosions occurred when successive units arrived. Police said homemade explosive devices detonated, killing 23-year-old patrol officer Viktoriya Shpylka and injuring at least 25 others. Three injured people were reported in critical condition and placed on ventilators. Ukrainian authorities detained a suspect and said further operational and investigative actions are ongoing to identify other individuals involved. Separately, the Russian military launched 50 missiles and 297 drones overnight, striking seven regions and causing casualties in the Kyiv region.
