Hay'et Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) launched a major offensive, capturing significant areas in northern Aleppo, resulting in casualties among both Syrian soldiers and rebel fighters. A total of 132 fatalities were recorded in fierce clashes on Wednesday, illustrating the escalating conflict as HTS overrun Syrian army positions.
In a marked escalation, HTS fighters advanced nearly 10 kilometers from Aleppo city, strategically targeting towns such as Nubl and Zahra, where Iranian-backed forces are heavily present. The offensive was reportedly a reaction to increased air strikes against civilian areas by Russian and Syrian forces, intensifying the humanitarian crisis.
