Montenegrin Justice Minister Bojan Bozovic confirmed that Do Kwon, co-founder of Terraform Labs, will be extradited to the United States following the decision of the Supreme Court, which stated that all legal conditions for extradition have been met. Kwon's situation is particularly significant given his previous role as CEO of Terraform Labs, a company implicated in the collapse of the TrraUSD stablecoin that caused turmoil in cryptocurrency markets.
The Ministry of Justice of Montenegro highlighted that most of the legal criteria supported the U.S. request for Kwon's extradition. This decision follows Kwon's arrest while he was attempting to leave Montenegro earlier this year, exemplifying international cooperation in legal matters concerning high-profile figures in the cryptocurrency space.
