Diablo 4 patch change could make it easier to find Forgotten Altars, or you could pet Dorian the Raven instead
Briefly

After a period of minor updates focusing on bug fixes, Diablo 4 recently released Patch 2.1.2, implementing notable changes in the Season of Witchcraft. The new Nightmare Dungeon Affix ensures Forgotten Altars, critical for accessing rare powers, will be more consistently available within dungeons. Additionally, players can now pet the newly introduced companion, Dorian the Raven, to aid in collecting resources. The patch also reinstated Twilight Warding, previously disabled due to player damage concerns. Furthermore, the Mother's Blessing event is live, offering enhanced rewards including gear until February 25.
The bulk of the changes has to do with the new season, notably the addition of a Nightmare Dungeon Affix that guarantees a Forgotten Altar will spawn.
Along with the dungeon change, Blizzard re-enabled Twilight Warding, a previously disabled Witchcraft Power that had caused player damage, reverting a major change affecting Druid players.
This week's Diablo 4 patch also allows players to pet Dorian the Raven, a new companion aiding in material and Gold collection, unlocked through the battle pass.
Diablo 4 is currently hosting Mother's Blessing, the most rewarding event yet, offering players gear in addition to XP and Gold until February 25.
