The collapse has left the old thatched cottage precariously positioned just 10 metres from the edge of a 400-foot drop, raising concerns for its safety.
Ian Hosker remarked on the scale of the recent landslip, stating, 'It was a big one. But perhaps not yet finished. It is the largest I have seen here in my 35 years living here.'
The East Devon council has been proactive in warning visitors about the dangers, emphasizing that rockfalls and landslides can occur without warning, posing serious risks.
Local beachgoers have been advised to stay well clear of the cliff base, as the coastguard recommends maintaining a distance at least equal to the height of the cliff.
