Dave Coulier's wife, Melissa Bring, has spoken out about his ongoing struggles with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. As his chemotherapy progresses, she notes that each session becomes more challenging, but Coulier remains optimistic. They maintain a positive routine, including dance parties with their dogs. Bring highlights Coulier's strength stems from loss, as he has lost family members to cancer. The diagnosis itself shocked him, marking an abrupt shift in his life as he confronts the disease with determination and humor.
"He has some really tough days, and as the chemo has been accumulating it gets a little tougher and more difficult," Bring said in an interview with WXYZ.
"He has such a positive attitude, and you need that in order to really fight it," she stated. "Every morning, if he's feeling up for it, we try to put on a song and do a little dance party with the dogs..."
"I think for him, he takes every stride and really pulls strength from seeing the women that were so close in his life to powering through it, and he just wants to honor them."
"The first thing I said to them was, 'Wait a minute - cancer?' I was feeling like I got punched in the stomach because it never happens to you."
