Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem will screen in theaters worldwide for one night only on December 12th, 2024. The 2003 anime film is a visual album of Daft Punk's Discovery and will allow fans to experience the story of an alien band that faces abduction by a malevolent human character. This collaboration between Daft Punk and renowned anime creator Leiji Matsumoto provides a unique cinematic experience, celebrating both music and animation.
Following the one-night screening, Daft Punk will release a special Discovery reissue on December 13th, featuring original artwork and collector's items expected to excite fans. Keeping in line with their numbers theme, the limited release includes 5555 gold vinyl and 25,000 black vinyl. The unique merch run will further entice collectors, showcasing the animated band Crescendolls from the film, and available at Daft Punk's official shop.
