CrowdStrike outage costs Air France-KLM 15 million more than expected
Briefly

Air France-KLM reported that the total financial impact of the CrowdStrike outage reached 25 million euros, significantly higher than the initial estimate of 10 million euros.
The airline attributed an increase of 1.4 point unit costs to the disruption during summer operations, primarily affecting KLM and Transavia, highlighting a €65 million disruption cost.
Due to the outage in mid-July, flight cancellations forced Air France-KLM to offer rebooking options and alternative arrangements like hotel stays, leading to further financial losses.
The initial estimate of damages, stated by CFO Steven Zaat, was adjusted after considering the complete processing of costs related to the outage.
