In the wake of Trump’s win, Oklahoma Superintendent Ryan Walters announced a Department of Religious Freedom and Patriotism, requiring schools to display his prayer video.
Walters argued that Trump’s presidency represents a clear mandate to bring prayer back into schools and promote patriotism, in direct opposition to what he calls radical leftism.
While Walters has mandated the inclusion of Biblical teachings in classrooms, several Oklahoma districts are ignoring his orders, and he’s facing lawsuits over his previous legislative efforts.
Brown confronted Walters about the lack of authority to enforce the viewing of his prayer video in schools, highlighting the contradictions surrounding his mandates.
