Current and former Cash App users who utilized the service since 2018 must file claims by November 18, 2024, to claim part of a $15 million settlement.
Users can claim reimbursement of up to $2,500 for out-of-pocket losses, lost time, and transaction losses due to unauthorized access to their accounts.
The settlement stems from allegations that Block and Cash App made misrepresentations and breached obligations related to data security incidents disclosed in 2022 and 2023.
Eligible users can submit claims to the settlement website with necessary documentation, while also having the option to exclude themselves from the settlement.
