Candace Cameron Bure has observed a cultural shift in Hollywood, where individuals increasingly feel comfortable expressing their faith without fear of backlash. She expressed hope for this positive change during the Movieguide Awards. Beyond her advocacy for open expression, Bure is also focused on aiding friends affected by the recent Los Angeles fires, emphasizing community support and recovery efforts. Despite her current filming obligations elsewhere, she remains in touch with affected individuals and supports charity efforts through her store, wishing for a resurgence in local film production as well.
I feel like people are just a little less afraid of being canceled now that they can share their faith openly or whatever their opinions are [even] if they're not congruent with some other people's opinions.
It's been so hard, and I have so many friends that lived in the Palisades that lost their homes. It's going to be a journey. It's going to be a long time for recovery.
Even though I'm not in Los Angeles right now, I'm filming a movie. I'm still in touch with everyone, still have a store that's open to gather great items for our families that have lost everything.
I would love to see it come back. However, totally open to all the other states that are currently creating revenue and having more entertainment come into them.
