Boyfriend of Louth crash victim Chloe Hipson was set to propose on Christmas Eve, mourners told
""She, as you know, lost her life so absolutely tragically alongside some other wonderful young people - her pals Alan, Chloe, Shay and Dylan. We, today here in Scotland, think of all their families. And of those beautiful young people.""
""She was thriving and she was happy, and she was not scared to try out new things. I think everyone spoke of Chloe as the most perfect person in the family. She never argued with anyone, she just got on with life.""
"The funeral service at Daldowie crematorium near Glasgow heard how Ms Hipson "fell in love" with Ireland and was "flourishing" there."
Chloe Hipson, 21, from Bellshill and a student at Dundalk Institute of Technology, died in a road collision in Dundalk on 15 November. The Volkswagen Golf carrying Hipson and four friends collided with another car while they were heading to a night out. The other victims were Chloe McGee (23), Shay Duffy (21), Alan McCluskey (23) and Dylan Commins (23). Hipson's partner, AJ Finlay, survived and had planned to propose on Christmas Eve after seeking permission from her father and brother. Friends and family raised over £30,000 to repatriate her body to Scotland. A funeral service was held at Daldowie crematorium near Glasgow.
