Wayne O'Reilly was detained under the Mental Health Act. The child was not in the care of the State, but the family was known to Tusla. Gardaí believe Oisin O'Reilly lay dead for a number of hours before the boy's body was discovered in his bed in Clondalkin on Thursday morning. Investigators believe Oisin was killed by asphyxiation sometime on Wednesday night or just after midnight on Thursday.
