"We are thrilled to host Billy Joel and Rod Stewart this summer at Yankee Stadium," Scott Krug, the New York Yankees Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer said. "Their timeless catalogs and impact on the history of rock and roll music cannot be overstated, and we expect a magical evening with them in the Bronx."
The last time Joel performed at the Yankees' home field was on June 22-23, 1990 in the middle of his 'Storm Front Tour,' which stretched from October 1989 to March 1991. Both nights, he performed 23 tracks and closed his second encore with 'Piano Man.'
While we don't know what the timeless rockers have up their sleeve for this show - although we expect all the hits - we do know the best way to find out is live especially because Stewart will be in the middle of his farewell 'One Last Time Tour.'
