"Thankfully, it looks like a concussion and nothing more than that," the Spurs boss told reporters during his pre-match press conference. "Good news. He was in hospital and did all the tests to make sure everything is okay. All good. He's back home and he's fine. He is feeling good."
Postecoglou confirms Bentancur will now be absent for a couple of weeks while he observes concussion protocol, including this weekend's FA Cup tie against non-league Tamworth.
The Uruguay international was treated for around nine minutes, before he was transferred to hospital for further assessment, highlighting the seriousness of his condition.
"Obviously, you follow the protocols now, and it's a couple of weeks where you have to make sure everything is okay," Postecoglou noted, emphasizing the importance of adhering to concussion protocols.
