The Trocoll House development near Barking station has faced delays since construction commenced in Easter 2022. The original contractor, Henry Construction, entered administration, forcing the developer Railpen to seek a new construction schedule and appoint a different contractor. The Barking and Dagenham Council, through its regeneration arm Be First, is working closely with Railpen to expedite the project's completion. Once finished, Trocoll House will provide 198 affordable flats across 28 stories, leased to the council for 50 years, while the pub below has been closed since April 2022 due to construction.
We are working hard with Railpen to ensure the development is completed as soon as possible.
The entire building will be leased by the council for 50 years and the freehold acquired for 1.
