Audi is introducing a new global nomenclature system aimed at simplifying how its vehicles are classified by type, size, shape, and powertrain. The system retains familiar letters, such as 'A' for low-floor vehicles and 'Q' for high-floor ones, followed by numbers indicating size. Importantly, odd and even numbers will no longer signify powertrain technologies. Each model will also include a body style and a powertrain code for combustion, hybrid, or electric options, enhancing clarity for consumers. The launch will coincide with the new Audi A6, unveiling on March 4th.
