At least eight dead, including children, after massive Russian missile and drone attack on Kyiv overnight

Russian forces launched a large-scale overnight drone and missile attack on Kyiv, killing eight people and injuring more than 30. Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said two of the dead were children and reported 38 injured; Mayor Vitali Klitschko said at least three children were among the wounded. Military administration confirmed the use of drones and missiles and described combined, systematic strikes targeting residential buildings. Multiple high-rise apartment blocks and other buildings were damaged, including heavy damage to two apartment buildings on opposite banks of the Dnipro. Rescue teams searched rubble in Darnytskyi and emergency crews worked at more than 20 sites as fires burned across the city.
