I am looking around my community and I am seeing a lot of families who need more support, just like mine did growing up. People are not feeling safe and families are leaving, either because of unaffordable housing or unsafe streets.
New York City has an annual budget of over $110 billion. It's not right. We can have a safe community, good public schools, a clean environment and good infrastructure if our community gets the funding we deserve.
