Kalel Jorell Martinez Bristol, aged 37, was arrested and charged with the first-degree murder of 25-year-old Kevin Mares, who was visiting Puerto Rico for a concert. The shooting occurred early Sunday morning in La Perla, where an argument led to Martinez Bristol shooting randomly into a crowd, striking Mares fatally in the abdomen. Two local residents were also injured. Martinez Bristol is being held on an $800,000 bond and lacked a license to carry a firearm.
