Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout will shift from center to right field to improve his health, given his history of injuries. Having played limited games in recent seasons, Trout proposed the change to the team to keep him on the field more effectively. He acknowledged the necessity of adjusting to his new position while expressing his ongoing desire to contribute, even if that includes designated hitter responsibilities and more rest days. This strategic move aims to preserve Trout's longevity in professional baseball.
"I kind of threw everything on the table as in what's best for my bodywise to keep me on the field," he said Monday.
"Just look at my last couple of years; I want to preserve the legs and go out there and run some balls down in right," Trout said.
