American Airlines Passengers Will Soon Be Able to Use the TSA's Touchless ID Program
Briefly

American Airlines will soon introduce the TSA’s PreCheck Touchless ID program, allowing loyal AAdvantage members to pass through security using facial recognition instead of boarding passes or IDs.
"We want to give our customers an easy experience while they move through every point of their travel journey, and the airport is a big part of that," said Kim Cisek, American's vice president of customer experience.
Under the Touchless ID program, a live photo of each traveler will be matched against a government-provided photo, simplifying the identity verification process for frequent travelers.
Travelers can choose to opt-in to the program by providing their AAdvantage number, U.S. passport information, and Known Traveler Number, with the option to revert to the traditional identity verification method.
