Amazon has officially discontinued the Kindle Oasis, the last Kindle model that featured physical page-turn buttons, focusing instead on touch-screen functionality.
'Once current inventory of Kindle Oasis sells out online and in stores, we will not restock the device,' Amazon's Devon Corvasce says in a statement, highlighting their shift to touch-forward devices.
Introduced in 2016, the Kindle Oasis was marketed as a premium e-reader, featuring page turn buttons and a specific ergonomic design for one-handed use.
With the latest Kindle lineup featuring models like the Paperwhite with a larger screen and a Kindle with a color screen, there's no model that includes physical buttons.
