The parents of Alexis Gabe have been campaigning for justice following her murder by ex-boyfriend Marshall Jones, who allegedly disposed of her remains. After a recent meeting with District Attorney Becton, they urged for charges against Jones' mother as an accessory. While some evidence raised suspicions, the DA's office concluded there is insufficient evidence. Despite this setback, the family remains determined to pursue justice, having dedicated nearly three years to gather evidence and advocate for accountability in their daughter's death.

The DA's office says the meeting included discussion about forensic examination of recovered clothing, investigation of a second plastic bag, an interview and a records search.
