The Friends Of The Cape Cod National Seashore are urging public support to fund the repair of beach access stairs to Marconi Beach, destroyed by a Nor'easter.
Without financial assistance from Seashore supporters, there will be no access to Marconi Beach in 2025. The group needs to raise $125,000 by February.
The storm consumed 28 feet of land, including eight feet where the stairs were located, resulting in no current public access to the beach.
The Seashore lacks discretionary funds for this challenge, and the Friends of the Cape do not have the necessary funds to fund the project entirely.
