Todd Morris, a dedicated school bus driver from Jackson Township, Ohio, showcased extraordinary bravery on January 22 when he rushed into a burning home to rescue children and their pets. Alarmed by flames and smoke, Morris, who deeply cares for the children on his bus, kicked in the door of the Fisher family's home. After rescuing their dogs, he urgently searched the premises to ensure no one was trapped inside. Firefighters arrived shortly after and contained the blaze, thanks to Morris's quick actions and timely call to emergency services.
Morris recognized the house immediately. He knew that Matt and Jordan Fisher lived there with their four young children, two of whom ride Morris's bus.
When no one answered the locked door, Morris, a former police officer, kicked it in with his foot.
As Morris was making his way back to ground level, he came face to face with the Fishers two dogs, Lady and Cash.
Firefighters, who were alerted by Morris, had the blaze under control within 90 minutes of their arrival.
