A meeting about the end of single-family zoning put Berkeley's housing debate on display. It got ugly.
Briefly

Councilmember Rashi Kesarwani expressed, "There can be zero tolerance for becoming physically aggressive with anyone at a public meeting, especially a public servant simply trying to do their job."
Regarding the incident, Kesarwani described the confrontation stating, "He purposely shoved his body into me when he tried to grab a microphone out of my hands during the event, where most attendees opposed the rezoning plan."
Michael Grove, the individual involved, stated, "It was an extremely rash move, and I apologize for creating a negative situation... I'm a little bit ashamed of it, I have to confess."
