A humpback whale briefly swallows kayaker in Chilean Patagonia - and it's all captured on camera
Briefly

In an astonishing incident in Chilean Patagonia, kayaker Adrián Simancas was swallowed by a humpback whale while kayaking with his father, Dell. The whale engulfed Adrián and his kayak for a brief moment but quickly released him. Captured on video, the encounter has since gone viral. Although Adrián experienced initial terror, he escaped without injury, and both he and his father safely returned to shore. The Strait of Magellan, known for its frigid waters, presents risks for adventurers due to challenging conditions despite being a popular tourist destination.
"Stay calm, stay calm," he can be heard saying after his son was released from the whale's mouth.
"I thought I was dead," Adrián told The Associated Press. "I thought it had eaten me, that it had swallowed me."
