The fatal road traffic collision took place between Banogue and O'Rourke's Cross, near Bruree, at about 2am. Gardaí closed the N20 to permit a technical examination of the scene and the two vehicles involved. Emergency and investigative teams attended, the vehicles were fire-damaged, and examinations aimed to establish the cause and sequence of events.
