"There’s a lot more questions than there are answers," says Jim Brachle, highlighting the confusion and uncertainty surrounding the crash details and circumstances.
"The flight crew declared an emergency and aborted the landing... it was not configured in the normal way for landing, with flaps down and landing gear deployed," indicating serious protocol deviations.
Video appears to show the thrust-reversers deployed, but they apparently did little to slow the plane, which careened off the end of the runway at more than 100 mph.
