49ers may go outside the box in Daniel Jeremiah mock draft
Briefly

The San Francisco 49ers are considering using their No. 11 overall draft pick on offensive lineman Armand Membou from Missouri, as suggested by NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah. Membou has a strong college background with 30 starts, primarily at right tackle. Jeremiah views him as the best technical offensive lineman, likely transitioning to guard in the NFL. However, this move diverges from the 49ers' typical drafting strategy, which previously has not prioritized first-round picks on guards. The 49ers’ decisions hinge on their belief about Membou's potential as the long-term right tackle.
Membou is the most technically sound offensive lineman in this class. He reminds me of Aljah Vera-Tucker when he entered the league. Membou will be an exceptional guard who can also play tackle if needed.
A first-round pick on a guard, especially one as high as No. 11, wouldn't make a ton of sense for San Francisco. Membou may be very technically sound, but he never played guard in college.
If the team believes he's their long-term answer at right tackle, the selection makes more sense. It could provide an upgrade at RT over Colton McKivitz.
Given what we know about the 49ers' team-building philosophy, it seems unlikely they would prioritize a guard with their 11th overall pick.
