A head-on collision between two airboats in Ochopee involved a Bay Area youth sports team and their parents, resulting in 24 injuries and 16 hospitalizations.
The incident occurred during a swamp tour, with both boats having distinct passenger counts of 13 and 20. Thankfully, as of Saturday, all individuals were reported to be in stable condition.
MEGA Football and Cheer, the youth group involved, stated that while everyone is stable, some parents 'face a road to recovery' from their injuries sustained during the crash.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and they are withholding not only details but also variables regarding on-board passengers.
